Innovation Camp 2018, Cluj-Napoca

ARIES Transilvania, iTech Transilvania Cluster, with the support of Cluj-Napoca Municipality and other regional relevant actors, organized on October 27-28, 2018 the second edition of Cluj-Napoca Innovation Camp.
The Innovation Camp event gathered together experts who brought up policy challenges related to innovation in the context of Romanian EU Presidency 2019, allowing for better citizens’ inclusion in the creation of new markets, products and services in the framework of the Digital Single Market strategy; respectively – co-creating innovative public services, co-creating change agents for a transition to urban sustainable transformations, co-creating solutions using technology in the public administration.
Innovation Camp 2018 was organized under the umbrella of “Digital Cluj, 100 years since the Great Union” project, with the support of the Municipality of Cluj-Napoca. The project aims to support the digital transformation of Cluj-Napoca, in the context of celebrating 100 years since the Great Union of Romania.
Cluj-Napoca is one of the most effervescent cities in Eastern Europe, known as the heart of the historical province of Transylvania. The second largest city in Romania after Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca is currently focused on supporting and promoting the transition from outsourcing towards a sustainable development based on innovation and digitalization.
